STORYTELLER I CREATIVE
A Southern California native and USC graduate who began his film career working as an executive assistant at the production company for Oliver Stone's film Heaven and Earth. Soon thereafter he worked on films for other notable directors Paul Thomas Anderson, the Wachowski's and Clive Barker.
In 1995, he produced his first series of TV commercials for RC Cola, which won a CLIO for Best International Kids spot. After that, Pierce went on to produce and line produce hundreds of TV commercials and music videos for clients and directors such as Perrier, Faith Hill, Chevrolet, Lux Shampoo, Jewel, Microsoft, Shades Perfume, Jurassic 5, Diddy, Stereophonics, Joseph Kahn, Francis Lawrence, Mike Lipscombe, Marc Webb, and Marcos Siega.
Beginning in the late 2000s, Pierce began directing TV commercials and digital content for brands such as USAA, American Express, Google, MetLife, the Marines, and Travelocity. Several of these campaigns evolved into industry-altering 'integrated campaigns', which set the tone in leveraging TV, digital and social media simultaneously.
International experience includes clients from countries around the world such as Japan, Korea, China, Mexico, United Kindom, Turkey, Israel, Germany, and France for TV commercials, Digital Content, Music Videos and Films. This breadth of experience includes work on fragrances, beauty products, liquor, tabletop, toys, tech, automotive, beverages, financial, mobile phones and much more, and has helped curate a body of work that shows variety, capability, resource, determination, and ingenuity.
His work with A-List celebrities is also well established, including talent like Josie Maran, Juliette Lewis, Ashley Judd, Samuel Jackson, John C. Reilly, Gwenyth Paltrow, Gina Gurshon, Roger Staubach, Ron Rivera, Robert Griffin III, Charles Tillman, Faith Hill, Jewel Kilcher, Natalie Imbruglia, Bryan Adams, and many others.
Michael continues to be at the forefront of creative and integrated advertising and film production. From photography to music, to social media and digital content, to online retail video, to brand campaigns and TV commercials, Michael is a multidisciplinary director and producer of video content that continues to push boundaries.
